How do you give your oral lecture at the virtual CERAMICS 2022?

You do not have to do anything! Your availability (via internet) is mandatory at the time of your presentation.

Note: Documents submitted later cannot be considered.

You cannot attend KERAMIK 2022 in person! Therefore, you would like to have your presentation shown via video at KERAMIK 2022.

What do you have to do until 25.02.2022!
 

Step 1

Create your video, for example from your PowerPoint presentation with recorded commentary (max. 720p setting).
How? Here is an example.

Configurations (to be applied):
- Video format:  *.mp4 -file
- Video resolution: max. 720p (1280x720 pixels)
- Video size: max. 400 MB
- Video length (corresponds to the duration of the lecture): Keynote- and Invited speaker: 25-30 minute / Speaker: 15-20 minute

Step 2

Name your video file. Please only as described here:

LECTURE_ID.-Nr .mp4

(You can read your ID-No. under Submission in this system - see example).

Step 3

Now upload your video file in your user account at www.2022.dkg.de.
Click on the "Submission" button in your user account and use the big blue button UPLOAD PRESENTATION (following example).
Please note: After uploading, the file is not displayed.

To all speakers:

Your Short Abstract will be evaluated by the program committee, who will decide whether to include your presentation in the program. Your Short Abstract will be published in the Abstract Volume of the conference, together with your contact details and the co-authors of the contribution. You will be informed about the decision of the program committee in advance via e-mail through your account in the congress management system (... please see also Dates & Deadlines).

Please note, especially when booking a Day ticket or 2-day ticket:
The program committee will decide on the allocation of your lecture in the program, either on 07. or 08. or 09.03.2022. Your attendance on that particular day is indispensable.

The Short Abstract has to be submitted via the congress management system. Please note the following:

  • Abstract to be written in English;
  • max. of 6 authors;
  • The content of your Short Abstract: 1.500 characters;
  • Please do not use uppercase letters for the title and equations in the text;
  • Your abstract will not be proofread prior to publication in the abstract volume.

We reserve us the right to make formal changes to your Short Abstract for the publication in the abstract volume (e.g. correction of upper and lower case in the title or the formatting of equations).

You have the option to add a CV to your submission.
The panel chair will use it to introduce you with some opening words prior your presentation (name and title, current profession and current employer, education and career, membership, activities, interests and fields of work, and other personal information).

Length of presentation:

  • Plenary Speaker: Lecture lasts 30 min (without discussion).
  • Keynote Speaker / Invited speaker: Lecture lasts 25 minutes, followed by a discussion of 5 minutes.
  • Speaker: Lecture lasts 15 minutes, followed by a discussion of 5 minutes.

Lecture language: English or German

Lecture slides: only English


General instructions about (virtual) presentations:

  • Please submit your complete lecture presentation via the online congress management system.
  • The exclusive presentation format is Microsoft PowerPoint Windows (Version 2016 or newer).
  • The rule “one file per lecture/poster” applies. Media such as video clips must be integrated into the submitted files.
